From Tuesday 23 November 2021, South Australia will reopen its borders to fully vaccinated people coming from all Australian states and territories. This is because it’s expected that 80% of South Australians aged 12 years will be fully vaccinated.

People who aren't fully vaccinated but are authorised to enter SA need to quarantine for 14 days.

You’ll also need to quarantine if coming from a local government area — or, LGA — with community transmission and less than 80% of its population fully vaccinated.

This is very exciting news for all of us. Despite the happy news, we still need to practice caution as there will likely be more and more new covid cases every day after the borders reopen. We still require a mask to be worn in our Oakden and Windsor Village medical centres, and we urge our patients to book a phone or video consult if possible. Of course, if you're showing symptoms of a cold/flu we still require a phone consult rather than an in person consult.
