The information we are receiving from SA Health around the Coronavirus is changing from day to day. While SA Health is communicating this with us, they are yet to supply us with the equipment needed to safely test for the Coronavirus. Special masks are needed, but unfortunately General Practitioners are unable to source them due to a shortage.

Due to this, we are unable to test our patients should they be showing symptoms. The advice we are going by at the moment is:

  • If you have returned from overseas in the last 3 weeks, you must stay home and self - isolate yourself.
  • If you have been overseas in the last 3 weeks and are showing symptoms; a fever and/or respiratory symptoms such as a cough, you will be asked to stay home and call HealthDirect on 1800 022 222 or the Coronavirus Helpline on 1800 020 080 for further advice.
  • If you are asked to see your GP, please call ahead and let reception know what you have been advised.

We are not currently seeing any patients who are unwell in the practice. We are offering a telephone consultation with your regular GP instead, so you can still access medical advice. You must have seen a GP at either of our practices in the last 12 months.

For this service to be bulk billed, you need to meet strict Medicare requirements. If you fit any of the criteria below you will be bulk billed. If you do not, there will be a $45 private charge that does not attract a Medicare rebate.
