Nick is a Malaysian born Chinese, who started his journey in Australia as an overseas student. He is also able to converse fluently in Mandarin and Malay, thereby assisting patients who may feel more comfortable in their home language. 

He graduated from University of Adelaide in 2009. He started working in various hospitals around Adelaide, such as Lyell McEwin Hospital and Modbury Hospital. He has also lived and worked in various parts of rural South Australia in the last few years, such as Cummins, Whyalla and Mannum. 

He has a special interest in Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Preventive Medicine and Minor Procedures. Given his background of being a ICU Registrar and Emergency Medical Practitioner for various towns in rural SA, he has seen and assist in a variety of emergency situations. He strongly believes in “Prevention is better than cure”, which reflects in his approach to dealing with health matters.

Outside of work, he is a hands-on dad to 3 young children, 2 boys and 1 baby girl, which gives him an empathetic and pragmatic approach with young children. He enjoys watching and talking about various sports. He also volunteers in a local church and participates in the music team.
