Dr Kristen Crowhurst completed her medical degree at the University of Adelaide in 2012 before undertaking an internship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. She conducted further training at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital where she completed a Diploma in Child Health. She became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2017. Dr Crowhurst has completed the Australasian Lactation Course and is a Neuroprotective Developmental Care accredited provider. She has also completed further training in mental health. In addition to her work in General Practice, she also worked in the public health response to COVID-19 in both Victoria and South Australia in 2021 and 2022 and has written a children's book entitled 'No Matter What', which encapsulates her empathetic approach to paediatric medicine.
Dr Crowhurst will be providing services for child health and wellbeing and parenting support through the Oakden Kids Clinic.
