About
Jane graduated from the University of Sydney and worked in a variety of practices and medical education before she saw the light and moved to Adelaide! Having always enjoyed journeying alongside children, young people and their families, working in a high-pressured emergency department at a children’s hospital further convinced Jane to value clear and empathetic communication as being crucial to delivering high-quality health care to our community. Jane also completed her Diploma in Child Health during this time. Apart from paediatric health, Jane’s other particular clinical interests include:
- mental health and wellness in young people
- women's health (including cervical screening tests and all things related to periods, fertility and preconception planning, perimenopause and menopause – don’t worry, nothing is ever too awkward to talk about!)
- sexual health (including Implanon insertions/removals and Mirena removals)
- holistic, weight-neutral health care, if that aligns with your health goals
Jane is also accredited to offer Obstetric Shared care. Walking alongside women in their (sometimes bumpy!) preconception, antenatal and postpartum journeys is something Jane regards as a great privilege and joy. Having heard the stories of many women over the years, Jane cares deeply about women and their support people being able to access well-rounded and robust information about their bodies, pregnancy, labour, birth and beyond. Outside of work, you’ll find Jane (trying) to run, but probably more likely sitting around with a chai latte.
