The Paradise Medical Centre - (Formally Known as Windsor Village Medical Centre) & Oakden Medical Centres offer a Diabetes Clinic run by Registered Nurse Helen Potts and Dr John Joseph.

The Diabetes Clinic has been hugely successful & running for over 20 years. The main aim of the clinic is to provide comprehensive care & assist with starting medications/insulin, nutritional advice & decreasing the possibility of complications.

What is Diabetes?
Diabetes is a condition where the body is unable to control the level of glucose in the blood. Type 2 diabetes is the most common type of diabetes. In type 2 diabetes, the glucose level is managed by eating well, physical activity and medication.

Helen & her clients work together to make lifestyle changes & to maintain these goals for the long term. She understands that life gets in the way & she strives to help you get back on track, so you can live a long & happy life.

Helen has completed a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education & also has personal experience managing Diabetes. This provides her with an increased knowledge & empathy towards patients with Diabetes.
