John was born in Adelaide, and went to Hillcrest Primary school, and then Gilles Plains High school. From there he went to Adelaide University until his graduation in 1982. He experienced “Outback” medicine in Broken Hill in 1983 and 1984, and then “settled down” to suburban medical practice in the North-East of Adelaide. He became a Fellow of the College of General Practitioners in 1997, and continues to enjoy his work, mainly focusing on family medicine, with special interests in Men’s health.
His special interests are family and friends, photography, and regular walks, to take in all of the wonderful scenery in South Australia. He also enjoys cricket and AFL football, and is a keen Adelaide Crows fan!
