New and exciting things are happening at both the Oakden and Windsor Village Medical Centres.
We have a new Dietitian since Rhianna has gone on Maternity Leave - her name is Airlie Lacy and she is just as bubbly and friendly as Rhianna!
This is what Airlie has to say:
I graduated from Sydney University with a Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics and was honoured to be awarded top student. A highlight was working with Professor Stewart Truswell on my final year project looking at the rise of, and evidence around, gluten intolerance vs coeliac disease.
Following graduation, my husband and I took a leap of faith, packed up our home in Sydney and went on a 6 month holiday volunteering in different capacities. We had the privilege of meeting some exceptional humans around the world, and witnessed some unique health care programs in conditions of limited resources in places such as Lebanon, Ethiopia and Liberia.
On returning, we made the move to Adelaide, originally my home town, to be closer to family. I have since worked at Flinders Medical Centre in Stroke and General Medicine, RAH in Renal and Neuro surgery, Noarlunga Hospital in Mental Health and General Medicine, TQEH in Haematology and Oncology, and at Hampstead Rehabiliation.
I love meeting new people from a broad range of backgrounds and particularly come to life in working with the elderly and vulnerable.
Thanks for having me Windsor Village - I'm looking forward to being apart of the team whilst Rhianna dedicates herself to life as a mummy!
